****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hi folks and welcome back to the baliwaves (since ’99) for the latest news on today’s surfing and weather conditions from here on your favorite tropical surfing holiday island of Bali.
Well this mornings 6.30AM surf check on the Outer reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height to have increased a little pushing the tempo up into the 2-4ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. How ever the wind was coming in hard out of the WNW @ 10-14knot. So that was the end of my plans to go out fishing for the day.
But shortly there after my friend called to see if I wanted to go see if we could find some waves. As it shows in today’s 35 strong photo gallery my friend Devis Ratif did get to surf by himself with semi clean conditions. There were another dozen or so surfers riding off the north of us and another half a dozen to the south. The wind did slowly pick up in strength out of the SW but there were still plenty of waves coming through even as we were packing up at 1.45PM.
Tidal information for today had us down for a 0.6mtr Low @ 7.30Am and then filling back in for a 2.3mtr High around the 2.00PM mark.
Weather wise it’s been a mainly hot and sunny day with the outside temperature currently sitting on 30 degree’s Celsius, Humidity on 66%. Wind direction is coming out of the SW @ 7-10knot.
Swell predictions for the coming week are looking real positive with 3 swells currently in transit to Bali. Wave height should improve a little more through Friday and into Saturday. Then hopefully the first of the 3 will start to show some time on Monday and hkeep rolling through all week.
