****MORNING SURF UP DATE****
Good morning to you all and a big thank you for taking the time out to drop into the baliwaves (since ’99) for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions from all around the one stop tropical surfing holiday destination that has something for everyone, Bali !
Today is Anzac Day, (my old man was one) Lest We Forget.
Well kicking off with this mornings surf check (mandatory) on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left was still showing in the waist to chest high plus region. There were some perfect micro sized waves peeling along the reef on Kuta Reef, but with the tide still on the bottom only Middle Reef was really in the surfing equation. Middle’s had the most swell with the odd shoulder to head high set wave. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy (7.30AM) with the wind coming lightly out of the NE @ 1-3knot.
Ketut has phoned through from Canggu (7.45AM) to let us know that wave height was hitting the sand bar and river mouth sections in the head to well over head class. There were around 10 – 15 surfers in the water at the time, but with the tide on the run in I’d imagine conditions would only be improving set by set. Surfing conditions at Canggu were as clean as it gets with the light nor easter blowing straight off shore. We’ll get Ketut’s photos from canggu on line as soon as he gets back to home base, so stay tuned to the one and only original daily Bali surfing website.
Troy up at Balian has texted through to us to tell of light off shore wind, head to well over head high waves peeling off both left and right with hardly any other surfers in the area.
Lewis over at Lakey Peak on the island of Sumbawa has also sent through his report. With the Rip Curl GromSearch concluded there’s hardly any surfers in that neck of the woods as well. Wave height out on the Peak this morning showing in the chest to head high region, with clean and glassy surfing conditions (until the Tradewind kicks in anyway).
News from the G-Land Surf Camp has it that there is a grand total of 1 surfer currently being spoilt rotten over at the legendary location. So if you want to have a once in a life time chance of an empty line up make sure you call into the G-Land Surf Camp and get over there pronto. Contact us now if you want a helping hand organizing everything to get you there.
