****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hell again everyone and welcome back to the baliwaves.com (’99) and the start of another surfing week. And it’s going to be full of surf up dates and tonnes of new photos from right here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination called Bali.
Ok so yesterday, Sunday Ketut and I thought we’d bail out and push the double outrigger down to the water and just go fishing for the whole day. We covered a lot of ground, setting out from here in Tuban and making our way slowly down to Uluwatu, before “rounding the horn” of the southern end of the island and continuing to almost Nusa Dua. Plenty of fish and pure self satisfaction at the end of the day.
But this morning and we were on the road and heading for Canggu. Arriving around 7.15Am to find super clean conditions with waist to head high plus waves breaking on all 3 main sections. The wind did eventually kick in around late morning, not the Tradewind but a southerly that gradually increased in strength. We also stopped in at Batu Bolong for a quick look and a bite to eat and there were also some waist to chest high plus sized waves breaking there as well.
Tidal info for today had a 1.6mtr High @ 6.00Am and then only just backing off to a 1.1mtr Low around midday.
Weather wise it’s been another typical day in the tropics with a mainly blue sky. Currently right now @ 4.30PM the outside temperature is sitting on 29 degree’s Celsius. Wind direction is still South @ 10 – 12knot.
Today’s G-Land surf report thanks to our good friends over at the G-Land Surf Camp was calling wave height to be shoulder to head high plus sector. With the early morning high tide the best waves were peeling off on the Money Tree’s section. No surfers in the water at 6.45AM. Do you want to be in the water at G-Land without any crowds ? Then drop us a email and we’ll get you packing with a 15% discount at the G-Land Surf Camp.
