****AFTERNOON SURF REPORT****
Howdy folks and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves.com (since 1999) for today’s run down on surfing and weather conditions from every sane surfers favorite tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Well this morning I was dreaming of surfing with one of my old mates and it was that good that I never woke up until 6.00AM. So, no time for a surf recon on the Outer Reefs of Tuban. All I knew was that the wind was light out of the North and the tide on the run in, and not a lot of swell.
As it shows in today’s photo gallery we blasted off we still managed to do alright in the wave department by taking a short trip up the coast to Canggu. Arriving around 7.30AM to find consistant chest to head high waves being fanned by a clean off shore wind. Crowd wise the sand bar only had half a dozen surfers while the right hander had close to 20. The left hander on the reef break (opening photos) also only had a handfull of riders on it.
Surfing conditions held clean and true through until the SE Trade wind kicked in hard at 9.45AM, after the rain storm passed through.
Tidal info for today had us down for a 2.6mtr High @ 11.00AM and will then be draining out to a 0.1mtr Low around the 5.00PM mark.
Weather wise we have had a mixed bag, starting off with some early morning rain and cloud cover. Followed by some brief but welcomed sunny patches, then more rain. Now at 2.00PM it’s back to blue sky with some light cloud. Temperature wise we currently have 29 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is 75%. Wind direction is outta the East 16-18knot+.
Today’s G-Land surf report courtesy from the G-Land Surf Camp was calling wave height to have all but faded away and down into the waist to chest high class. No surfers in the water at the time of receiving. But I’d say now that the Tradey has kicked in there should be a few fun ones happening over there. Drop us a line if you would like a helping hand and a few extra dollars back in your pocket getting over there.
Alrighty then that’s about me for today. But I will have a whole bunch of photos and reports from our good friends at The Real Kandui Surf Resort up in the Mentawai Islands on line in the next 15mins. Then after that I’ll start editing another truck load of Bingin photos brought into us from our mates at ESP (Bingin). So don’t log off yet, check our surf cam or something.
For any of you that just want nothing more than a hassle free, get up and go surf perfect waves every morning (pending Huey), see and do what the hotel / resort sect don’t. Well we have some new surfing / accommodation packages that will have you at the right location at the right time everyday. All deals include your own photographer at no extra cost.
