****MORNING SURF UP DATE****
Hello surfers and and welcome to the start of another full on surfing week here on the baliwaves (since ’99). Not too mention all the surf and weather info and of course truck loads of daily photos from out and about here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Yesterday we settled for the sure bet wave magnet location of Uluwatu down on the southern end of Bali’s West Coast. And as it shows we did pretty good, arriving around the 8.00AM mark to find wave height coming through at a consistent 2-3ft with the occasioanal bigger over head set wave. Best of all there were only 8 other surfers scattered from Temple’s all the way down through the Racetrack. Of course it was Sunday morning, and while most other holidaying surfers were still in bed from Saturday night we were already in the water. So as you can imagine by midday the number of riders at Ulu was up the 70+ mark.
This mornings 7.30AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was not looking too promising, with wave height barely breaking in the half to one foot range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with the wind only just detectable out of the North.
Ketut and our team took the highway North West to Balian early this morning and Ketut has phoned through to tell of peeling left and right handers on the A Frame Peak in the shoulder to head high plus sector. The boys were the first surfers in the water but I’d reckon there’d be a few others joining them by now.
No news from Lakey Peak yet, which kinda tells me that the boys are getting skunked again. And our G-Land surf report will probably come through any time now, no chance of the crew at the G-Land Surf Camp getting skunked, that’s a certainty.
Tidal info for today has a 1.0mtr Low @ 10.00AM and then running back in to a 1.8mtr High around the 4.00PM mark.
Weather wise today we have another grey and brooding sky with a very possible chance of some more rain. Currently right now @ 9.30AM the outside temperature is sitting on 27 degree’s Celsius with the Humidity @ 87%. Wind direction is NW @ 2-4knot.
Hopefully by tomorrow we will have some fresh waves arriving and just what we have been waiting for to un leash our new web cam on you. So make sure you stay tuned to Bali’s Premier Surfing website.
