****MIDDAY SURF UP DATE****
Hello surfers and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves (since ’99) to see what’s happening right here on your first choice for a tropical surfing holiday, Bali.
I kicked off the day with my mandatory surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban. At 6.45AM there wasn’t a helluva lot happening with only a weak and windy (off-shore) knee to waist high wave showing between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. But I’ve just received some intel that a new swell is starting to show with a little more consistency and size out there. I’ll be heading back down for a closer look later this afternoon.
I’ve also had a heads up from Aaron who also just happens to be be the head honcho down in Australia at the surfers choice place to stay when on the Gold Coast, COLUMIA APARTMENTS located smack opposite the famous Super Bank. Aaron is currently here in Bali up the coast at Balian. At 7.30AM there were chest to head high waves peeling off both left and right with around 30 surfers scattered through them. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy at the time. Aaron also sent us through some photos so I’ll check them out a little later.
Tidal info for today has us scheduled for a 2.3mtr High @ 9.00AM and then running out for 0.4mtr Low around the 3.00PM mark.
Weather wise today’s it just typical Bali holiday weather, hot and sunny. Currently right now @ 2.30PM the outside temperature is sitting on 30 degree’s Celsius with the wind coming out of the East at 12-15knot+
Next week is looking really hot with 3 different new swells in transit to Bali as you read. Stay tuned cause we’re going to be all over it.
Don’t forget to slip into our Readers Report section and check out the new photos from South Sumatra.
