****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hello surfers and a big thank you for tuning into the baliwaves.com (since 1999) for today’s latest news on surfing and weather conditions from here on the only tropical surfing holiday destination worth spending your hard earned dollars, BALI.
Ok just to keep it clear this current photo gallery was delivered to us late yesterday from our friends at the G-Land Surf Camp (www.g-landsurfcamp.com). And don’t forget by simply contacting us here at the baliwaves we’ll gladly help out our viewers with a cash back bonus on their next G-land session.
Anyway according to the crew over in camp this years season has been pretty well non stop perfect ranging from head high waves for anyone, right through into the triple head high class for the serious tube riders. Numbers going into all camps have been super low over the last couple of years and it’s not much different again this season. So if you want the ultimate surfing experience, perfect waves, perfect scenery and low low numbers in the line up you owe it to yourself to hit G-Land.
Here in Bali this mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs had wave height still down in the 1-2ft range at best between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Clean off shore wind but looking very weak, with no sign of the predicted new swell at that stage. So we thought we’d be smart and head over for an early session at Keramas on Bali’s East Coast. But arriving only to find waist to chest high waves and the wind fresh on shore out of the East. But there were only a few other local grommets in the water and the odd wave with a bit of shape so the boys hit it for a quicky anyway.
Hopefully by tomorrow we will have a little more swell to play with. So stay in touch with us right through out the weekend and we’ll keep ya’s in the loop. You might also like to watch our new Surf Cam down on Impossible’s and see for yourself when and if our new system arrives.
Tidal info for today had a 2.1mtr High @ 7.00AM and then running out to a 0.7mtr Low around the 2.00PM mark.
Weather wise we did have some heavy rain fall through the early hours of this morning but since then it’s been a mainly hot and sunny day. Temperature wise right now at 3.45PM the mercury is still sitting on a pleasant 28 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is at 70%. Wind direction is gusting up to 16knot out of the South East.
Travel Tips:
1/ Ok boys and girls, mums and dads, this is the most important thing you need to remember when your here in Bali. Dengue Fever is a reality and spread by mosquitoes, it’s virus so you can’t take a tablet to prevent it. Here in Bali it has no discrimination as to who will fall victim. So make sure you have insect repellent with you pretty much all the time from those early morning hours and late afternoon when mozzie’s are out looking for a feed of your blood.
2/ This one is more for the boys and girls, riding motor bikes is fun right. But having a motor cycle accident is certainly not, especially when your on holidays. If you don’t ride a bike at home and if you don’t have a license stay away from them. Lately I’ve seen so many fools gassing around on them with absolutely no idea of whats going on around them it is NOT funny. Have you ever seen a hard core cycilist riding around in bare feet, no shirt or helmet ? Why ? Falling off a bike while your doing 35kmh won’t kill you (not every time anyway), but being run over by the car behind or, on coming bloody well will ! Don’t be a tight arse, get a driver and travel in style.
For any of you that just want nothing more than a hassle free, get up and go surf perfect waves every morning (pending Huey), see and do what the hotel / resort sect don’t. Well we have some new surfing / accommodation packages that will have you at the right location at the right time everyday. All deals include your own photographer at no extra cost. Hit this info link to find out more. Limited space, so get in early or you’ll be doing it the hard way.
We also have a few “Home Stay” type rooms available for any of our viewers looking for some clean and tidy accommodation here in Tuban. all rooms are air conditioned, including breakfast for Rp225,000 per night, or Rp275,000 for couples. Plus 1 room that’s fan cooled for Rp150,00 per night. Surfers need to apply, party animals head for Kuta.
Feel free to contact us via email about your next trip to Bali and we might just be able to help make it run a little smoother for you.
Best Regards from Bali
