****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hi surfers and thanks for taking the time out today to stop by the baliwaves.com (the best since 1999) for today’s run down on surfing and weather conditions from right here on every real surfers favorite tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Well this is coming to you from an internet cafe as my home connection is still off line, it only seems to do this to me on a weekend when I can’t even get any customer service. But not too worry here it is anyway.
Ok this mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was still showing some fun sized waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left in the waist to head high region with the occassional slightly over head set hitting Middle Reef. Surfing conditions were clean and tidy with the wind coming lightly out of the NE @ 3-5knot. At 6.45Am there were already surfers out on all of the 3 popular sections.
This afternoons photo gallery is part 2 of the photos that Ketut shot down on Uluwatu’s racetrack section that was delivering some fast and cruncy tube rides. I’ve also managed to get the photos from Bingin that the guys from ESP (located right in front of the action on Bingin Beach) loaded up onto the baliwaves and you can find those little gems in our Readers Report page.
Today’s G-Land surf report courtesy of the G-land Surf Camp was calling slightly smaller waves over there today, but still smoking through in the head to well over head range through Money Tree’s down to the Launch Pad. We’ll have another photo installment from their in camp resident surf photographer arriving any time now. So it’ll be worth staying tuned for those baby’s alone. Don’t for get we have some special offers especially for our baliwaves.com viewers to drop us a line if you want to surf some G-Land perfection and save a pocket full of cash.
Tide wise today we had a solid 2.4mtr High @ 9.00AM and then she’ll be bottoming out for a 0.3mtr Low around the 4.00PM mark. Tomorrow also has a Full Moon rising so we are going to be seeing some even bigger tidal differances over the follow few days.
Weather wise today she’s been sunny and hot with a top temperature of around 32 degree’s Celsius. The wind was a bit variable through early to late morning before the SE off shore Trade wind kicked in.
Ok folks thanks again and get ready for the start of another surfing week here on the baliwaves.com. Don’t forget anytime you want you can see what’s happening surf wise through our Impossible’s Surf Cam, and you know it ain’t gunna cost you a cent.
Travel Tips:
1/ Ok boys and girls, mums and dads, this is the most important thing you need to remember when your here in Bali. Dengue Fever is a reality and spread by mosquitoes, it’s virus so you can’t take a tablet to prevent it. Here in Bali it has no discrimination as to who will fall victim. So make sure you have insect repellent with you pretty much all the time from those early morning hours and late afternoon when mozzie’s are out looking for a feed of your blood.
2/ This one is more for the boys and girls, riding motor bikes is fun right. But having a motor cycle accident is certainly not, especially when your on holidays. If you don’t ride a bike at home and if you don’t have a license stay away from them. Lately I’ve seen so many fools gassing around on them with absolutely no idea of whats going on around them it is NOT funny. Have you ever seen a hard core cycilist riding around in bare feet, no shirt or helmet ? Why ? Falling off a bike while your doing 35kmh won’t kill you (not every time anyway), but being run over by the car behind or, on coming bloody well will ! Don’t be a tight arse, get a driver and travel in style.
For any of you that just want nothing more than a hassle free, get up and go surf perfect waves every morning (pending Huey), see and do what the hotel / resort sect don’t. Well we have some new surfing / accommodation packages that will have you at the right location at the right time everyday. All deals include your own photographer at no extra cost. Hit this info link to find out more. Limited space, so get in early or you’ll be doing it the hard way.
We also have a few “Home Stay” type rooms available for any of our viewers looking for some clean and tidy accommodation here in Tuban. all rooms are air conditioned, including breakfast for Rp225,000 per night, or Rp275,000 for couples. Plus 1 room that’s fan cooled for Rp150,00 per night. Surfers need to apply, party animals head for Kuta.
Feel free to contact us via email about your next trip to Bali and we might just be able to help make it run a little smoother for you.
Best Regards from Bali
Slim
