Pro Show…is the only way to describe the lineup over the last 2 days at Bankvaults. With virtually the entire Billabong team aboard the Indies Trader 4, the lineup at Bankvaults became more of a surf video than our usual go to spot on north wind. Billabong has spared no expense this year with a helicopter, 6 photographers/videographers and all the A+ riders…Parko, Taj, Rasta and countless others have stayed with us over the years and are great down to earth guys and were happy to share the lineups with our guests. Swell’s going to be small for the next 2 days, but the first of 4 major swells moves in over the weekend. Ray’s back for the first swell and back to surf reporting! – Justis

The surf’s been slowing down after 2 straight days of pumping lefthanders. After the guests surfed a fun lefthander all morning and with the swell and tide dropping, I suggested a fun rippable left about a 20 min drive from the resort. I guess sometimes the guests know something I don’t since they did a quick detour and checked Kandui Left on the way and ended up scoring. While it wasn’t big, conditions were absolutely perfect….swell should be a bit slow for the beginning of the next trip, but look out! One of the swells of the season is heading our way soon after! The charts looks so impressive All Day Ray is coming back early to catch the swell! – Justis

Best Surf of My Life…It’s always enjoyable to hear these words from guests. Today the wind finally switched and the goofyfoots got their chance going frontside. With all the lefts working, crowds were light and barrels were aplenty. A couple guests got some of the waves of their trip and one of our older guests, Jeremy Zinn had the session of his life. Jeremy is 57 and has surfed since he was kid and was over the moon to score some of the best waves of his life today. The attached photo of Jeremy after a good wave really sums up a typical trip to Kandui and the feeling you get after the wave of your life… Justis
