****MORNING SURF UP DATE****
Hello surfers and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com (Indonesia’s first surfing website, since 1999) for today’s news and views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the first choice tropical surfing holiday island of BALI.
Exactly as predicted by the premier surf forecasters at Stormsurf this mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing a solid boost to wave size. At 7.00AM there were pretty well non stop head to double head high plus waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Hardly any wind showing early so surfing conditions were looking clean and glassy. I just went and took another quick recon at the top od the tide and Kuta Reef was smoking at chest to well over head high, looked to have around 30+ surfers on it. While Middle Reef was getting some solid over head to double over head high plus bombs, with no surfers. Surfing conditions were still clean and tidy but with the wind coming lightly out of the North West (10.00AM). I’d have to image there would be some nice waves over in the Keramas area this morning for the more experienced crew.
Hopefully the off shore S.E. Trade Wind will kick in anytime soon making for another fantastic day of waves here in Bali. We are hoping to head down to the southern end of the island on this afternoons Low tide for a photo shoot. So don’t wander too far away from baliwaves.com
This mornings G-Land Surf Report thanks to David at the G-Land Surf Camp was calling in a very excited double to triple head high. Money Tree’s all the way down to Speedies, 2 surfers in the water at the time. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with the crew at G-Land just waiting for that off shore wind to kick in. David was just getting his camera gear ready to go shoot out of the boat so we’ll get to check out his shots tomorrow. In the mean time I’m just about to load a 50 strong photo gallery he sent to me last night of yesterdays waves. You’ll find those gems on the G-Land Surf Report page. Just contact us here at baliwaves if you would like to try the G-Land experience and get yourself a solid discount off any advertised package at the G-Land Surf Camp.
The next tide here in Bali is going to be a 0.4mtr Low scheduled for 3.24PM this afternoon.
Weather wise it’s been another partly cloudy type of start to the day around this part of the island. And right now at 11.00AM the outside temperature is sitting on a very comfortable 28 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is at 66%. Wind direction is now coming out of the West at 3-5knot.
Changing dollars to Rupiah here on the streets of Tuban: — 1AU$=Rp9,600 — 1US$=Rp9,430 —
