****MORNING SURF UP DATE****
Howdy folks and welcome back to your baliwaves (’99) for today’s news on surfing and weather conditions from everybody’s first choice tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Just to get the ball rolling here’s 50 or so photos that Ketut snapped off down at Uluwatu yesterday, and I’ll just let them do the talking. Mainly overcast sky with strong off shore wind while Ketut was on location..
This mornings (6.45AM) surf check on the Outer Reefs thanks to Ketut had wave height in the waist to chest high plus range beween Kuta Reef and Airport left. Looking a lot like yesterday size wise, the tide was just starting to run in at the time and Middle Reef was the better choice being better suited to the lower end of the tide. Best chance is to get in early before the midday 2.5mtr High tide fattens it up. Surfing conditions were clean with the wind already light off shore out of the E-SE, but expected to increase in strength through out the day.
Todays G-Land Surf Report thanks to our friends at the G-Land Surf Camp was was calling wave height to be in the shoulder to head high with the odd bigger set waves. The tide was also a bit too lowish at the time so no surfers in the water. But they would be just hanging out and waiting for the inevitable to happen, the tide turn and the off shore wind kick in, then there will be some fun waves. Just contact us here at baliwwaves if you would like to try the G-Land experience and get yourself a solid discount off any advertised package at the G-Land Surf Camp.
Weather wise Ketut said there were a few fluffy white clouds moving about up high with plenty of sunny patches.
Oh yeah Troy has been working hard on the surf cam, just a minor hick up and should be back on line any moment (so I’ve been told).
