****AFTERNOON SURF UPDATE****
Hello surfers and thanks for calling by the baliwaves.com (Bali’s original surfing website since 1999) for the latest news on today’s surfing and weather conditions from here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Hopefully most of you have read my latest “twitter” posts from yesterday, after a long day on location and some nice photos to load for you the law of “Murphy” cut in and cut out off our electricity, just when I need it. It was pretty late when she came back on and this morning we have been back out on the wave hunt again.
So as it shows in this current gallery we were down on the southern end of the island at Balangan. Our first glimpse from the top of the hill looked like there was perfect 3-4 footers peeling off. But by the time we were in position wave height was more like head to double head high plus. Low numbers in the water with a max of 40 surfers scattered from the point down through the end section.
This morning the 4th and at 6.45Am the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing a considerable drop in wave size, with waist to over head waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The tide was too low at the time for KR or AL but Middle Reef already had at least 10 surfers on and there were some clean head to over head waves breaking. Surfing conditions were clean and tidy with the off shore SE Trade wind already starting to crank it up.
I ran all the data through my guests and it was pretty much a hands down decision to head back down to Balangan. And to tell you the truth it was almost as good as yesterday with wave height in the head to double head high range and clean as a whistle.
The next tide today here in Bali is going to be a 0.1mtr reef exposing Low at 5.24PM.
Weather wise it’s been a partly cloudy day and a warm midday temperature along the beach. Currently right now at 5.00PM the outside temperature is sitting on 26 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is at 74%. Wind direction is still coming out of the SE at 12-15knot.
Today’s G-Land surf report thanks to our friends at the famous G-Land Surf Camp was calling clean and glassy head to double head high waves breaking from Money Tree’s down to the Launching Pad. That was at 6.30Am this morning so I can imagine with an in coming tide and some off shore wind it woulda been pretty well perfect at G-Land today.
With low numbers in the surf resort and plenty of swell heading our way how does a 15% discount off any advertised G-Land surfing package plus an accommodation up grade sound, you’d have to be seriously considering getting over there, wouldn’t you ! Check out their packages at www.g-landsurfcamp.com and then contact & confirm it with us and the deal is there.
Changing dollars to Rupiah here on the streets of Tuban; –1AU$=Rp9,885 — 1US$=Rp9,375 —
I’ve also got a new photo gallery from our friends at ESP (Ego surf photography) who are always on location down at the mechanically perfect wave of Bingin. You will find those (give me 10 more mins) in our Readers Report page.
For any of you that just want nothing more than a hassle free, get up and go surf perfect waves every morning (pending Huey), see and do what the hotel / resort sect don’t. Well we have some new surfing / accommodation packages that will have you at the right location at the right time everyday. All deals include your own photographer at no extra cost.
