****AFTERNOON SURF UPDATE****
Howdy folks and thanks for rocking into the baliwaves.com (Bali’s first and original surfing website since 1999) for our Sunday Session on today’s surfing and weather conditions from right here on the only choice for your next tropical surfing holiday, BALI.
Ok so this morning surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing another drop in wave size with 1-3ft (knee to head high) between Kuta Reef and Airport Lefts. Again Middle Reef was the best option but with an already solid holiday crowd of at least a dozen riders. Surfing conditions were clean and tidy with a light off shore Easterly breeze (6.20AM).
As it shows in today’s photo gallery we decided on taking a run up to Canggu in the hope of scoring some clean waves with a little more zest in em. Not too bad at all with us arriving around 7.15AM to find clean and glassy surfing conditions. The local Canggu surfers were holding their surf festival on the left hand reef break and looked they were having a good time out there. The sand bar was also producing some nice left hand barrels for the half a dozen surfers out there. While the right hander on the river mouth was peeling off some nice right handers in the head to well over head class.
If your not doing anything this afternoon Canggu will be the place to be at with free music and entertainment.
The next tide today here in Bali will be a 1.5mtr High at 7.09PM
Weather wise it’s been a mostly hot and sunny Sunday with a few scattered cloud patches. Temperature wise right now at 2.00PM we have a warm 28 degree’s Celsius with the humidity on 70%. Wind direction is Easterly at 30km’s.
Ok friends that’s me for today, but I have just loaded up a solid 110+ photo gallery from our local mates from ESP located right in front of the action at Bingin Beach.
Here’s a funny one for ya’s. I didn’t see it but one of my friends up at Canggu was telling me earlier that while he was in the water for the dawny there was a westerner out there going off at some local expat kids who were trying to warm up for the contest. He even attempted to tell the kids that they had to go in out of the water…. LOL
Motorcycle’s, It certainly is the silly season here in Bali when it comes to my pet hate, which is totally un skilled motorcyclists in Bali. Let’s face it there’s enough maniac riders and drivers here in Bali as it is without westerners trying to ride / drive the same way. No helmets, shoes or shirts screaming and weaving down the highway. One minute feeling really cool the next minute your waiting for an ambulance to save your life. Don’t do it ! just because your on holidays try and keep using your brain and common sense.
