****AFTERNOON SURF UPDATE****
Hi surfers and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com (since 1999) for today’s latest on surfing and weather conditions from here on the only sane choice for your next tropical surfing holiday, BALI.
We knew it was going to be a little smaller today and our 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban confirmed it. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left was only breaking in the waist to waist high plus region. Surfing conditions at the time were clean and tidy with a light off shore breeze coming out of the ENE.
We did have a couple of location options to choose from but in the end we decided on a quick trip up the coast to Canggu. Arriving around 7.45AM to find wave height here was still pushing the head high class, with waves on all 3 of the main sections of Canggu. Surfing conditions were still pristine with a light off shore wind that lasted through until around 10.30AM. We also had some of the Quicksilver Indonesia team riders putting on a high voltage performance for us.
Looking further down south towards Batu Bolong and beyond wave height was pretty much the same as Canggu but there looked to be just about every surf school in Bali out there, averaging 6 learners to a wave.
Tidal wise right now at 3.00PM we have just passed through the bottom of the Low and the next High is going to be a 1.8mtr High at 8.47PM.
Weather wise it’s been another mainly cloudy day with scattered sunny breaks. Temperature wise right now the mercury is sitting on 28 degree’s Celsius with the humidity level of 62%. Wind direction is now coming out of the SE at 26km’s.

Ok folks that’s me for today, tomorrow and we should have a little bit more swell out on Bali’s reef and beach breaks so make sure you stay stoked right here on Bali’s first surfing website. Just for the record yesterday we managed to load up a total of 235 high quality photos from all of the best locations through out Indonesia. So…. check em out !
Motorcycle’s, It certainly is the silly season here in Bali when it comes to my pet hate, which is totally un skilled motorcyclists in Bali. Let’s face it there’s enough maniac riders and drivers here in Bali as it is without westerners trying to ride / drive the same way. No helmets, shoes or shirts screaming and weaving down the highway. One minute feeling really cool the next minute your waiting for an ambulance to save your life. Don’t do it ! just because your on holidays try and keep using your brain and common sense.
