****MIDDAY SURF UP DATE****
SELAMAT HARI RAYA GALUNGAN
Hi surfers and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com (since 1999) for today’s news on surfing and weather conditions from here on the only place to spend your hard earned tropical surfing holiday dollars, BALI.
This mornings 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban wasn’t looking to exciting at all. First up there was only just a slight increase in waves size, but still only showing in the waist to slightly over head class between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. While surfing conditions were semi clean and semi glassy with the wind direction coming lightly out of the NNW. Even so there were still surfers out on all 3 of the main reef breaks.
It wasn’t until around 9.30Am that the off shore SE Trade wind kicked in and also a lot more size on the set waves (as forecasted). It was around that time that I took my first look at our Impossible’s Surf Cam and it was also showing clean waves in the head to well over head size with off shore wind.
Hendra from down at Uluwatu also called through a surf report calling wave height in the head to double head high plus range, clean off shore wind with around 40 surfers in the water.
Davey from over at the G-Land Surf Camp also phoned through just before lunch time to call in wave height in the double to triple head high range peeling off down through Money Tree’s. He also said he’ll have another batch of photos on the way to us tonight. In the mean time you can check out Davey’s latest report and photos on the G-land surf report page of baliwaves.com
With low numbers in the surf camp and plenty of swell heading our way how does a 15% discount off any advertised G-Land surfing package plus an accommodation up grade sound, you’d have to be seriously considering getting over there, wouldn’t you ! Check out their packages at www.g-landsurfcamp.com and then contact & confirm it with us and the deal is there.
The next tide today will be a 0.3mtr Low at 2.50PM. With the next Moon Phase coming up to a Full Moon rising on the 31st of this month. So we will start to see some better tide ranges over the next week.
Weather wise there was some dark cloud hanging about early this morning but now at 1.00PM we have a hot and sunny day out there. Temperature wise the mercury is sitting on 30 degree’s Celsius, with the humidity on 74%. Wind direction is SE @ 26km’s
