****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hello everyone and welcome back to your baliwaves.com (Bali’s first surfing website since 1999) for the absolute latest news on today’s surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
This morning’s 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was once again looking pretty ordinary with 2-4ft waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left and that light (morning sickness) on shore wind. So just for something different.. we hung out and I cooked up the crew a batch of bacon and eggs before hitting the road south back down to Bali’s premier surfing location of Uluwatu.
As it shows in today’s photo gallery there was some freaking solid set waves coming through on the Outside Racetrack and Bombie sections. Plus a few sly ones sneaking through on the inside Racetrack and plenty more breaking up on the Temple section. Only around 10 takers from the Bombie to the Track and another 10 surfers riding all the way down at Temple’s.
Driving back past Padang Padang there was a skwillion motor bikes and cars parked, most of em blocking half the road. So there was a big chance the circus was in full swing down there this afternoon.
So the way this current swell has jacked up and looking at the predictions for the next swell that’s in transit and scheduled to hit Bali on the 2nd of Sept, it’s going to be the biggest swell of the year maybe.
Weather wise today it was hot and sunny, just what you’d expect from Bali.
