****MORNING SURF UP DATE****
Howdy crew and welcome back to your baliwaves.com (Bali’s first surfing website since 1999) for the start of another surfing week here on the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Well yesterday morning (23rd) the crew and I thought we’d sneak back over to the East Coast and find some un crowded waves. Arriving at Serangan around 7.00Am to find some solid 3-5ft+ right handers peeling off through the middle and no other surfers yet in sight. Surfing conditions at the time were super clean and glassy through until around 8.30Am when the wind started to pick up outta the SW. Back here on the West Coast the wind pretty well remained on shore outta the S-SW with a brief burst of SE-SSE off shore wind mid afternoon.
This mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban (as per my 6.30AM twitter up date) was showing some solid swell breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left, getting up into the 4-6ft+ sector. The tide was starting to run out at the time, Middle Reef was closing out bad, Airport Left was also ugly but there were around 15+ surfers already out on Kuta Reef battling the on shore wind. Hopefully, fingers crossed the Tradewind will put in an appearance and I’ll get Ketut to make a run down to Padang Padang around midday for the lower end of the tide.
The next tide here in Bali will be a 0.8mtr Low at 11.19AM
Weather wise right now in Bali at 8.55AM the outside temperature is a mild 24C, Humidity is on 90% and wind direction is coming out of the N at 5-9knot.
Ok that’s about us for now, but tune in later this arvo and see what Ketut can produce for us in the way of a new photo gallery. Plus I’ve loaded another new G-Land photo gallery onto their report page, check it out.
