G-Land Surf Camp
Sept 21.
G-Land today saw a consistent head hi swell running with the occasional bigger set hitting the entire reef.Wind offshore from early morning and throughout the whole day.Overhead and long running walls on offer at Kongs with just a few takers. The Main section from The Ledge into Moneytrees was where most surfers took their positions,at one stage over a 100yd stretch of reef there was up to 50 odd takers,a little busy at times around the hi tide with position being the key.Lots of great waves were ridden and quite a few slipping through untouched. Some surfers with the better wave knowledge took full advantage, avoided the hustle and snuck some real good waves.
The afternoon low tide action in pristine olive green glass on The Ledge was also the place to be.
Sept 22
Today saw a slight drop in swell size but as the tide filled in it did pulse some. The offshore breeze again up from the early hours and as the day progressed was quite strong.Wave height from about 11am grew to head hi with consistent overhead sets.Being change over day for the guests, crowd numbers were lower than the previous day and some great waves at Moneytrees and Kongs.Another good afternoon glass off session was had as well.
With some new swell predicted all are in tune and waiting for its arrival.
