****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hi folks and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com (since 1999) for the very latest news on surfing and weather conditions from right here on your favorite tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Ok so my mandatory surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was still showing plenty of waves in the head to almost double head high range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. At the time the tide was still way too low for Kuta Reef or Airport Left but there did look to be a solid crowd riding the low tide left and rights on and around Middle Reef. Surfing conditions were still a little sloppy and suffering from the “morning sickness” with the wind light out of the North.
So as it shows in today’s photo gallery we hung out for the wind to sweeten up and the tide to start running back in before hitting the highway south to Balangan (But of course any of you that were already tuned into the baliwaves facebook page or twitter reports would have already known that right). Arriving at 10.00Am to find clean as it gets head to almost double head high waves and around 25 surfers spread out through the line up. It wasn’t until around midday that the numbers started turning up in force.
Checking out the baliwaves.com FREE surf cam this afternoon there’s still some nice razor edged lines peeling off through Impossible’s. These images are up dated with a new image every 60 seconds so check em out.
Weather wise it’s been another classic Bali style day with tonnes of blue sky and sun shine. Currently right now at 3.30PM the outside temperature is sitting on a warm 29C with the wind coming out of the SE at 10-14knot.
The next tide today here in Bali is going to be a 0.4mtr Low at 5.19PM

Davey from over at G-Land has just phoned through to tell of perfect waves over his way and he’ll be typing us up a full report and sending it through later this evening, with photos of course. I also see there’s another fresh surf report & photos arrived in my in box from our good friends at the real Kandui surf resort in the Mentawai islands and we’ll get that stuff on line shortly as well,
We’d also like to thank our good friend Barry Woodbury from the Gold Coast / Australia for bring over 100 pairs of second hand reading glasses which we have already distributed to our traditional Balinese village (Br Bingin / Datah) plus a few pairs to a few of the old folks here in Tuban as well.
