****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hello surfers and thanks again for calling by the baliwaves (Bali’s original surf report since ’99) for today’s news and views on surfing and weather conditions from here on your favorite tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Alright then, this mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was looking to me like wave height had grown another foot or so, with 2-3 footers breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left and the occasional slightly bigger freak set hitting Middle Reef. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with the wind coming lightly out of the North at 1-3knot.
As it shows in today’s photo gallery we knocked up for ya’s we headed back up the coast to Canggu. With all the right conditions in place, in coming tide and northerly wind. Arriving around 7.30AM to find some real pretty waves in the 2-3ft+ sector and perfect surfing conditions. Both the right hand river mouth and the left hand sand bar were churning out consistent waves. Crowd wise the right hander had the most traffic on with 28 surfers while the sand bar had maybe 15+ on it.
Looking south down towards Batu Bolong and Berawa there looked to be hundreds of surfers all packed together sitting on long boards and few sups thrown in. But they are good locations for the learner surfer crew.
Weather wise here in Bali it was just another hot and sunny day, early morning northerly wind before swinging to the West around late morning then going all the way around to the SSE by afternoon.
Today’s G-Land surf report thanks to the G-Land Surf Camp was calling in wave height to be hitting Kong’s in the head to well over head range, with the wind light on shore. Surfing conditions did clean up and the off shore wind did kick in around 11.30AM.
