****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hello again and just thought I’d give you another quick heads up on whats happened since I typed up the midday report. Well around lunch time the sky blackened out and the rain started pissing down for around 23 minutes or so. Then the wind did a switcheroo and swung back to the favored Eastern quadrant and return to off shore wind here on Bali’s premier coastline. It also looks like the waves have picked up another notch in size. Here’s today’s Canggu photo gallery thanks to our man on the scene Ketut Pica.
Tune in again tomorrow for more baliwaves !
****MIDDAY SURF UP DATE****
Hi folks and welcome back to your baliwaves.com (Bali’s first surfing website since 1999) for today’s news on surfing and weather conditions from right here on every sane surfers first choice tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
This mornings 7.00Am surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing a nice little increase in wave height between Kuta Reef and Airports. With the tide well and truelly on the way in there was already around 15-20 surfers on Kuta Reef with chest to head high plus waves, then another 10-15 on second reef. Middle Reef also had a good handful of surfers with the set waves almost pushing double head high. Down on Airport Left there were quite a few reef taxi’s parked in the channel indicating a strong crowd, with head high set waves.
Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with the wind coming lightly out of the N-NW at 2-5knot.
Weather wise it’s been another partly sunny part overcast start to our day here on the holiday island, currently right now 10.15AM the outside temperature is a warm and humid 26 degree’s Celsius, humidity level is at 86%. Wind direction is still coming out of the NW @ 4knot.
Ketut is still on location up at Canggu and we will have a new photo gallery to load up for ya’s after lunch, so stay stoked right here on the baliwaves.com. I’ve also loaded another surf report and photo up date from our good friends up at the Kandui Surf Resort / Mentawai islands so check that out while we are waiting for Ketut to get back to home base.
Davey from the G-Land Surf Camp has also phoned through this morning to call in that wave height has also improved this morning over at G-Land / East Java. Clean and glassy head to over head waves peeling off on Money Tree’s through to the launching Pad, only 3 surfers in the water at the time.
