****MORNING SURF UP DATE****
Hello Bali people and a big thanks for stopping by your baliwaves (since ’99) for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions from right here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Well yesterday it was a long long day, well for me anyway. We had previously decided the day before to make the 4.30AM west coast highway run to Medewi. So as it shows in the photos I shot on location it was well worth the effort. Arriving at 6.30AM to see straight edged lines peeling off in the 3-5ft range with a clean off shore wind and only 2 other surfers in the water. It was good hanging out with some of the local Medewi Board riders crew and chatting with some of the other like wise visitors of the day. Before taking on the by far most dangerous road in Bali and back to Home Base.
This mornings 6.30AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing the start of our new swell (as per my earlier “twitter report”). The tide was still too low for Kuta Reef and Airport Left but there were some clean head to double head high set waves bending in to Middle Reef. The off shore SE Trade wind has already started to kick in so there are going to be some nice waves on Bali’s West Coast today.
The next tide today here in Bali is going to be a 2.4mtr High at 10.13AM
Weather wise there’s pretty well nothing but blue sky showing out my window so we are in for another glorious beach day here on the holiday island. Expecting a top temperature of 31 degree’s Celsius.
I’ve also just received a “PRESS RELEASE” from the ISC that details the “PUT UP OR SHUT UP” invitational (sponsored by Surf Time magazine (Bali) and the ISC) anual surfing event that is going down at the ever famous and perfect wave location of G-Land. So make sure you check it out when we get it loaded up later today.
