****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Howdy crew and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves.com (Bali’s best since 1999) for today’s news on surfing and weather conditions from here on the only place to come and spend your hard earned tropical surfing holiday dollars, BALI.
Well yep you probably guessed right, Slim goofed off and went fishing again. But I did get to check out just about every location between Kuta Reef and Uluwatu in the process. Not too mention a boat full of Tuna to go with it.
My first surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban at 7.00AM was showing some solid waves in the 3-5ft range (head to double head high) between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The tide was still a touch too low for KR and AL at the time but I’m sure they both would have had some perfect waves peeling off when the wind finally swung back to the SE around late morning.
Balangan was lining up very nicely and there didn’t look to be too many crew out there for some reason. I did see some long rides going down as I cruising past, wave height was an easy 3-5ft. Impossible’s was also getting plenty of swell and there looked to be a medium sized crew spread all along the long long line up. The tide was too high for Bingin by the time I was there but likewise it would be cranking right now with the tide dropping. Even Padang Padang had a few small ones and at least 20 surfers on it. Uluwatu was picking up some solid 4-6 footers (over head to triple head high plus) and there looked to be a lot of surfers out there.
The next tide here in Bali is going to be a 0.5mtr Low at 5.34PM.
Weather wise it’s been a another hot and sunny day here on the holiday island and currently right now the outside temperature is sitting on 29 degree’s Celsius, humidity level is 66%. Wind direction is coming out of the SE 10-14knot.

Ok so the Tuna are on and I might take advantage of my last day off and get back out there again. But I’ll make sure Ketut takes my place behind the camera and shoot a fresh gallery for you. Still waiting for my ear (surfers) operation so what else can I do in the mean time..
I’ve also been sent via email an interesting link to a report on the land development, rubbish and traffic situation here on Bali written by the Indonesian authorities on the matter and published in the Australian news paper. If you want to have a read too then just follow this link.
