BALI
19th October 2012
Hello folks and thanks for calling by the baliwaves (keeping it real for the average surfer since 1999) for today’s news on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the best value for tropical surfing holiday dollar destination of BALI.
Ok we’ll I’ve done a couple of runs down to the beach this morning with first recon going down at 7.00AM. It was another reef draining low tide this morning so there wasn’t any rush. At first glimpse it was looking like there was a very slight increase in wave height on the Outer Reefs. Middle Reef was the only section of reef with water over it and there was some shapely fun sized chest to over head high set waves.
My second recon went down at 9.00AM and by this time the tide was flooding back in and that little pulse there seemed to be earlier had vanished. Kuta Reef was looking like knee to waist high and will more than likely disappear as the tide peaks. Middle’s still had a couple of head high set waves but starting to get to fat. Airport Left wasn’t showing much either with only 1-2 footers breaking into the channel.
I might get Ketut to take a run down to Ulu late this afternoon for the low tide Racetrack session, so stay tuned to the original Bali surf report.
The next tide today here in Bali is going to be a 2.2mtr High at 12.16PM (currently 10.38am).
Surfing conditions are perfect with the wind coming out of the ESE at 6-10knot and clean off shore between Kuta and Uluwatu.
Looking for a wave today the best place for size and power is going to be down at Bali’s premier surfing location and wave magnet, Uluwatu. But you won’t be alone down.
Weather wise here in Tuban we have a mainly clear sky and another hot one coming up with an expected high of 31C, currently at 10.40AM she’s sitting on 29C. Our weekend outlook is pretty much the same, hot and sunny.
Today’s G-Land Surf Report (text message) thanks to the G-land Surf Camp reads “5 foot west south west kongs through to the Ledge. Wind is light off shore, 1 surfer on the Ledge but breaking a bit quick. Surf and conditions will improve with more tide”
