BALI
26th October 2012
Hi crew and thanks for calling by the baliwaves (doing what we do since 1999) for the very latest and greatest news and views of today’s surfing and weather conditions from here on the most consistent wave riddled little tropical surfing holiday island of BALI.
We got off to another semi early start this morning, coffee drank and on the road by 6.30AM. This time we were heading south down to Bali’s premier surfing location of Uluwatu. According to the swell prediction and weather charts if all went as called we were in for some head to well over head waves and clean and tidy surfing conditions.
And if you’ve already checked today’s photo gallery I snagged that’s just about how it panned out. But… even though usually by late October the number of surfers (over years gone by anyway) is usually but not this morning. We arrived around 7.00AM to a head count of 85 surfers in the water between Temple’s and the Racetrack. At this time surfing conditions were clean and glassy and the waves coming through fairly consistent in the head to well over head class. As the tide started running out towards midday the crowd did start dropping away and the wind turned off shore outta the SE, nice.
Driving home past Padang Padang and Impossible’s there were clean little lines in the 2-3ft peeling down the reef on Impossible’s but Padang2 was virtually flat.
Weather wise just another hot and sunny day. Currently right now at 4.00PM the outside temperature is still on 29C and the wind coming out of the SE at 8-10knot.
Ok folks I’ve had another long day and tomorrow we’ll be back out there doing it again so make sure your staying stoked right here on Bali’s original surf report website, the baliwaves.
Can you send Slim a text surf report from where you are in Indo today ? after the best conditions have already passed and you’ve had your fill of course ! Do it daily and you can promote a buisness at the same time (maybe get a free nasi goreng at your local warung, who knows). Contact me via email if your interested.
You’ll also find baliwaves on Facebook, twitter & instagram so get on it !
