BALI
20th November 2012
Hello surfers and welcome back to your baliwaves.com (Bali surf reports for surfers, since 1999) for today’s news and views on surfing and weather conditions from here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Well I guess you guessed that there wasn’t a lot happening surf wise over here today. And to tell you the truth there wasn’t, but it’s been a helluva long time between shit surfs on the holiday island. Anyway I still took my mandatory 6.15AM surf check on the Outer Reefs but with wave height a mushy 1-1ft+ and the wind already onshore I didn’t hang out too long.
I did think about cruising over to the East Coast in the afternoon. Mainly just to test out my old 1000mm lens that’s just come back from getting the glass polished. But.. even over at Serangan at 3.30PM (East Coast Bali) wave height was dribbling through in the 1-2ft range and the wind coming hard out of the SSW which is what it’s been mainly doing all day. So I didn’t even open the case on the 1000mm.
But I will be heading out early tomorrow morning and on the wave hunt, so make sure ya’s tune in then and hopefully we’ll have some more Bali waves to show off.
Weather wise it’s been a mixed bag of cloud cover, sun shine and some rain thrown in. But just the same it’s still Bali and it’s still hot.
Just a heads up I have loaded a filthy photo gallery from my good friend Wavey Dave Tinson who is also a proffessional photpgrapher and has spent around 6 months in G-Land this year shooting the famous long left hander. It’s in our Readers Report so make sure you do yourself a ffavor and check it out.
Traffic up date, with all the new road and airport projects going on and not too mention the amount of Javenese tourists flowing into Bali, then add a million taxi’s on the road the traffic has been bull shit to say the least. So if your here and on the road just take your time and be patient and hopefully it will get back to normal soon.

I think it’s “Aussie schoolies week” starting up here soon in Bali so be prepared for drunk teenagers in the streets of Kuta, zapping around on motorbikes and generally out of control.
