5th December 2012
Hello everyone and thanks for checking in to the baliwaves.com (keeping the Bali stoke alive since 1999) for today’s news on surfing and weather conditions from here on every sane surfers favorite tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Well for those that tuned in early this morning you would have pretty well already know by now what’s happening surf wise. How ? by following our TWITTER reports over on the right hand side bar of this page. Surfing conditions here on the Outer Reefs were that ordinary that I wasn’t even going to bother up dating. There was around a knee to knee high plus sized wave lapping onto the reef between Kuta Reef and Airport Left, and that was about it. That was while the tide was still low, as the tide filled in just after lunch there was even less happening on the Outer’s.
Looking for a wave today you might have found a few fun sized waves over on the southern end of the East Coast but that would be just about it I reckon. We still have a few more days of micro surf in front of us but hopefully by this coming Sunday (if the boys at stormsurf.com hold true to their forecast) we should see a nice medium sized swell hitting out reefs and beaches here in Bali. The pretty much waves all through next week with another swell checking in around Thursday some time.
So at least we have got something to look forward to.
Weather wise today here on the holiday island it’s been “a mixed bag” starting off with a mostly cloudy morning and even a few drops of rain around the 8.00AM mark. Then by midday it was back to good old hot and sunny Bali type stuff. Right now at 5.45PM it’s looking prett dark out side and you can smell the rain coming (I can anyway). Bugger all wind out there and the chance of a thunder storm somewhere on the island.
Tomorrow it’s going to be mainly twitter and instagram from us as I plan on teaching our man Ketut a few more fine pointers in the art of surfing. That’s if there are any waves at all happening along the beach breaks that is.
