BALI
12th December 2012
Hello surfers and thanks again for dropping into the baliwaves.com (Bali’s original surf report website since 1999) for the latest news and hottest views on today’s surfing and weather conditions from right here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destinaion of BALI.
Ok so this mornings 6.30AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was still showing a few waves in the waist to well over head region between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. And with the wind light out of the NE surfing conditions were clean as a whistle. Airport Left was picking up the most size with the tide still running up.
But I had to make a run down to Bingin so I also had a glance and snapped a couple of photos while I was there. Bingin was pretty well flat with only a couple of learner surfers in the water. Likewise on Impossible’s with only a 1-2 footer breaking up on the top end of the reef, totally flat on Padang Padang.
So today’s I eneded up at the end of the line here on Bali’s West Coast at her premier surfing arena of Uluwatu. Arriving around 10.00AM to see soomething like 50 surfers spread through the line up from the Temple down through the Main Peak and the top of The Racetrack. Surfing conditions were clean enough with the wind coming lightly out of the West before swinging further to the South just after midday.
I also had a phone through surf report from Will who made the trek over to Lakey Peak on the island of Sumbawa. Will reckons surfing conditions have been perfect with wave height ranging from head to double over head yesterday afternoon but fading out fast through out today. Low numbers of visiting surfers in the area with 35 – 45 in total.
Weather wise out there today it was another hot and sunny morning through midday then as per the last week the storm clouds started rolling in mid afternoon. Temperature wise right now at 5.30PM the mercury is sitting on 30 degree’s Celsius. Wind direction again coming out of the South at 3-5knot. It did swing to the East for an hour or so early in the afternoon.
