15th December 2012
Hello surfers and welcome to the weekend here on the baliwaves.com (keeping it real since 1999) and the latest news and all time views on surfing and weather conditions today from right here on the always “in season” tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Ok so this mornings 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height to be holding in the chest to over head class with the wind coming lightly out of the N-NW at 3-4knot. The tide at this point in time was still way too low for Kuta Reef and Airports but there were some clean enough waves happening on Middle Reef, and a few surfers out there having some fun.
But as it shows in today’s 64 strong photo gallery we put the equation together and figured that Canggu would be the call of the day, well for us anyway. Arriving to an incoming tide and wave height in the chest to well over head range with surfing conditions clean and glassy. But due to the heavy rain we have had the last couple of days there was quite a lot of flotsam and jetsam in the water close by the right hand river mouth. In particular there was one huge tree semi submerged just out of the line up. Crowd wise it was was real mellow up there today and plenty of waves for everyone.
Weather wise we had a mainly overcast day with the odd patch of sunshine. My last temperature check at 5.00PM had the mercury on 28 degree’s Celsius, humidity on 75%. Wind direction was coming outta the West at 3-5knot.
