1st December 2012
Hello everyone and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com (Bali’s premier surf report website since 1999) for today’s news on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the only place to spend your hard earned tropical surfing holiday dollars, BALI.
This mornings surf check (6.30AM) here on the Outer reefs of Tuban was looking nice with a light northerly wind and 2-4ft (chest to well over head high) waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left / Right. The tide was still too low after the reef expsoing 0.2mtr low tide just before dawn for Kuta Reef or Airports but Middle Reef was delivering some nice rides.
I just took another look at 9.30AM and the swell is still there but now the wind has shifted more to the South, still only light at 2-4knot and surfing conditions were still clean enough for a paddle.
The next tide today here in Bali will be a 2.1mtr High at 11.25AM.
Weather wise out there we have a mainly hot and sunny one coming on for the lucky one’s still here on the island. Currently outside the mercury is sitting on 30 degree’s Celsius at 9.45AM. Wind direction is now S-SW at 2-3knot.
Changing dollars to Rupiah here in Tuban; –1AU$=Rp9,900 — 1US$=Rp9,520 — The exchange rates always tend to be lowered over the weekend…
Mentawai Islands surf up date and photos can be found on the Mentawai island surf report page thanks to our good friends at the Real Kandui Surf Resort.
Ok folks I’ve got some odd jobs to take care of here at home this morning but if the wind holds off and even swings back off shore we might take another run down to the southern end of the island for another photo shoot.
