10th – 11th January 2013

Ok so yesterday the 10th and we were on location at Serangan / East coast Bali and things were looking pretty rosie. There was a nice head to double head high wave coming through and a strong but still negotiable off shore wind in place. But within 10 mins of being there the wind jumped from the 20knot+ mark straight into the 40knot+ mark. I have included a dozen photos in today’s gallery. I was shooting with my 600mm lens yesty and the 1000mm today so it’s not hard to pick the difference.
Today the 11th and seeing as though the sky had cleared and the wind backed right off it was a pretty easy call to head back over to serangan. We were expecting a little bit more size and that’s exactly what we got. Arriving around 8.30Am with the tide still filling in and 4-6 footers breaking left and right. Only a handful of surfers in the water at first but soon enough there woulda been close to 50 *surfers spread through the different sections and throw in a couple of surf schools just because it’s Bali.
Weather wise it’s been a typical summers day here on the holiday island. Currently right now at 5.30PM the outside temperature is still sitting on 30 degree’s Celsius and the wind still coming outta the West at 10-14knot.
Ketut also took a run up to keramas with the 600mm today but not really worth running the photos of a chocolate colored water with a strong on cross / on shore wind. But there were around 10 – 15 surfers in the water while he was on the scene.
