BALI
8th -9th January 2013
Hi folks and thanks for droppin by the baliwaves (Bali’s original surf report wensite since 1999) for the latest news on surfing and weather condions from right here on the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Well yes sir, weather ! that’s what it’s all about right now I tell ya. The last few days have been pretty ordinary to say the least. Yesterday for starters it just about rained the whole of our day light hours through. While this today it’s been blowing a gale outta the West non stop with guests busting through the 30knot+ mark.
Here along Bali’s West Coast it’s just a big soupy washing machine type scenerio and no chance of trying to get a surf in. But even though the wind is howling outta the West that’s pretty well a straight off shore for a lot of places. You’d be paddling into some fierce off shore spray, but there’s be waves for those that need to do it. Me, I’m happy to let the worst of it blow itself out.
But we will be taking a spin out with the camera equipment tomorrow so if it’s noit raining we’ll have some new photos to give ya’s a look at. In the mean time here’s another selection (Slim’s) from the photos that Ketut shot on the 7th. The one’s he never picked.
Hopefully this weather pattern won’t hang around for ever and we’ll get back to some lighter winds and sunnier days soon.
