BALI
17th January 2013
Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com (since 1999) for today’s news on surfing and weather conditions from here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
My first surf recon on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing as expected another little drop in wave height. At 7.00AM I didn’t see anyone in the water between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The wave height factor was probably why with only knee to waist high waves and light on shore wind out of the NW. My afternoon check at 3.00PM didn’t look too much different.Maybe even smaller waves and the wind a little bit stronger out of the West.
I also had a surf report come in from Serangan earlier and wave height in the waist to chest high plus region. Pretty crowded through late morning and then thinning right out for the afternoon glass off.
Weather wise there was a fair bit of blue sky and some cloudy periods but basically warm and dry here in Tuban.
Swell wise the long range forecasters are calling for slightly smaller waves again for tomorrow and then pretty much holding through Saturday and Sunday. Even smaller waves for the following Monday and Tuesday. Then finally sometime Wednesday and at least Thursday we’ll see a new small to medium sized swell hitting the reefs.
Ok hang in there and we’ll be on it as soon as there’s something worth it.
