BALI
28th – 29th March 2013
Hello surfers and thanks for calling by the baliwaves.com (the original Bali surf report since 1999) for the latest news and best views of today’s surfing and weather conditions from the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Just to reassure you that you never missed out on anything too much, wave height on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was only producing 1-2 footers with a light on shore wind.
How ever, this mornings 6.20AM surf recon on the Outers had wave height in the 3-5ft class (head to double head high) with an early morning NE off shore wind on it. Kuta Reef in the 2-4ft range, Middle Reef picking up some bigger 3-5ft sets, Airport Left / Right at 2-3ft +. So seeing as the tide was just starting to run in at the time and that there were no surfers in the water at the time… And as it shows in today’s photo gallery I snapped off there were some nice waves hitting Kuta Reef. When our reef taxi pulled up to the line up there were now 7 surfers in the water and the wind just tending a little more to the North. Surfing conditions still remained clean and glassy but as the tide started filling for a solid 2.6mtr High only the bigger set waves were really breaking with any gusto. There’s a big chance it will be on again later this afternoon as the tide starts running back out.
The next tide today in Bali will be a reef exposing 0.1mtr Low at 5.30PM.
Weather wise so far today it’s been just another hot and sunny day here in Bali and right now at 2.00PM the outside temperature is sitting on a warm 31 degree’s Celsius. Wind direction has also switched back to the East and off shore at 16kms.
