BALI
13th April 2013
Hello everyone and welcome to the weekend here on the baliwaves.com (a labor of love since 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions here on the with out a doubt, perfect wave magnet of the World, little tropical holiday island of BALI.
As you should already know by now that our early morning surf check on the Outer Reefs was showing a big drop in wave height with 2-3 footers between Kuta reef and Airport Left. There was still the odd bomb set hitting Middle Reef. Surfing conditions at the time were clean and glassy with the wind coming lightly out of the North.
But anyway Ketut kinda volunteered to take the camera equipment up the coast a little ways to Canggu (West Coast). Surfing conditions were optimal (with the light Northerly wind coming clean off shore at this location) through until around 9.00AM when the wind started to puff out of the WSW. Ketut reckoned there was around 45 surfers in total spread from Echo Beach all the way down to the river mouth.
The next tide today is going to be a 0.3mtr Low at 5.30PM.
Weather wise right now at 2.45PM the outside temperature is sitting on a warm 30 degree’s Celsius with some solid rain delivering type cloud cover starting to move in. Wind direction is outta the South at 13kms.
You may also have noticed that I’ve loaded up another surf up date (and photos) from our good friends at the Real Kandui Surf Resort. Not to mention the 170+ March / April Bodyboarding photo gallery. That’s over 200 new photos loaded onto the baliwaves.com today.
