BALI
15th April 2013
Hello everyone and welcome back to your baliwaves.com (keeping you in touch with Bali since 1999) for today’s run down on surfing and weather conditions from here on World’s No.1 tropical holiday island of BALI.
Ok well this mornings surf check on the Outer reefs here in Tuban wasn’t looking real good with only 1-1ft plus waves showing between Kuta reef and Airport Left. The tide was just coming off the bottom of the low and the wind was light out of the NE.
So Ketut took the camera gear for a run up to Keramas on Bali’s East Coast to see if there were any remnants of waves left. There were a few waist to chest high waves hitting the main break. Unfortunately for anyone else chasing a wave up that way as there the Japanese long boarders were holding a (Japanese only) long board contest on it. Poor old Keramas first there’s a 150 room hotel going up right in front and now a long board contest from Japan.
Anyway Ketut wandered back down to the right hand “car park” section and found a few non competitors surfing the 1-2 footers with clean and glassy conditions.
Looking for a wave today I’d be sussing out the beach breaks up along the Kuta to Seminyak stretch of sand on the higher end of the tide.
With the High tide just passed the next phase is going to be a 0.5mtr Low at 6.40PM.
Weather wise right now at 12.30PM the outside temperature is sitting on 29 degree’s Celsius, Humidity level at 79%. Wind direction is now coming out of the East at 16kms.
