Hi folks and welcome back to your baliwaves.com (keeping you in the loop since 1999) with the latest news on today’s surfing and weather conditions from right here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination od BALI.
Alright another day and another surf mission has gone down. Yesterday we had already decided to make the run up the West Coast to one of the best swell magnet locations in Bali, Balian. So we were up and in transit by 5.00AM arriving just before 7.00AM pulling up to see 2 surfers in the water with wave height in the 3-4ft plus range (head to well over head on the bigger set waves). The wind was also on our side with a light Northerly providing the off shore breeze. The number of sleepy headed surfers slowly increased through the morning maxing around 35 mark.
Surfing conditions were still clean and tidy when we packed up at 11.30AM but with the wind just starting to swing to the SSE.
Today’s drive up and back the coast was pretty relaxed for a change, but there were a lot of smashed up trucks and buses littered along the side of the road as a stern reminder how dangerous this road can be from maniac truck and bus drivers. As this road is the main artery route to the ferry terminal to and from Java.
Weather wise we had a mainly overcast morning with the sun busting out for awhile a little later on. Temperature wise right now at 6.00PM the mercury is still a warm 29 degree’s Celsius. Wind direction is now South at 14kms.
Ok so here’s a quick gallery I shot at Balian this morning with the 1000mm. I’ve also finally got the Bingin photo gallery ready to roll (thanks to our friends at ESP located right in front of the barrel at Bingin. Plus the lads up at the Kandui Surf Resort in the Mentawai islands have also sent us an up date and a couple of photos. So take ya time and have a good flick through the original Bali surf report since 1999 and we’ll have some more for ya’s again tomorra.
