BALI
6th – 7th May 2013
Hello everyone and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com (kepping you in the loop since 1999) for the latest news and views on surfing and weather conditions from here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Ok, yesterday the 6th wave height was still hanging in there in the waist to chest high plus region here on the Outer reefs of Tuban. Surfing conditions were clean and tidy with the off shore SE Tradewind kicking in around 9.30AM. Not a lot happening on Kuta Reef but there were a few fun sized waves on Airport Left and Middle Reef.
These current photos were shot down at Uluwatu’s Racetrack section late yesterday afternoon as the tide was still running out. Only a handful of surfers were in the water with wave height hitting the track in the 2-3ft+ range. Slightly bigger again out on the Main Peak and Temple sections.
This morning the 7th and wave height is maybe just a touch bigger again between Kuta Reef and Airport Left, around 2-3ft with the bigger waves hitting Middle Reef and Airport left. Ketut has taken an early morning run up to Canggu so we’ll have another photo gallery from there later this afternoon.
Weather wise this morning at 7.30AM the temperature was already a warm 27 degree’s Celsius and Humidity level at 90%. Wind direction was coming lightly out of the NE but will swing to the ESE – SE as the Tradewind kicks in anytime around mid morning.
