Day 1
Hi folks and thanks for dropping by the baliwaves.com for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions plus the odd Pro surfing event from right here on the always “in season” tropical surfing holiday destination of BAL
Ok so as we have all been waiting for today was day 1 and game on at Keramas beach for the start of the Oakley Bali Pro. I was hoping for the scheduled 7.00AM start this morning but the contest opted to run the Oakley Surf Shop Challenge instead. Kicking off this event at 9.00AM and still with super clean waves and 2-3 foot waves with odd well over head freak set. The first round of this Challenge was completed and the organizers called for a 11.00AM start for the Oakley Pro.
Today’s gallery is loaded up in the order I took the photos, starting off with the surfers cleansing ceremony then some free surfing and then the main event. There is around 80 photos so settle back and check em out.
It’s been another long day standing in the sun for over 7 hours staring through a big 1000mm magnifing glass without any breaks for lunch or drinks so check out the full blow for blow details and all the heat results of today’s surfing at www.oakleyprobali.com
