Howdy folks and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com (keeping you up to date since 1999) for the latest news and views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the ever popular tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Yesterday the 10th and our morning surf check on the Outer Reefs was only wave height to be busting into the waist to chest high range on the incoming tide. And it we did have a big high water mark scheduled so wave quality wasn’t going to be improving much at most locations around the island.
So I just hung out at home and emptied out my “in box” before getting Ketut to take a late afternoon run down to Uluwatu to see if there was any action happening on the low tide section of Uluwatu called “the Racetrack”. Here’s the photos he snapped off in the almost non existent light conditions and it looks like there was a few 2-3ft+ waves running down the Track and the odd one on the top of the Track. Ketut said there was around 30 surfers spread over the 100mtr section.
This morning the 11th and it’s Ketut’s turn again to get some shutter work in. This time I’ve got up the road here on the West Coast at the also ever popular location of Canggu. Ketut called through to say wave height was hitting all 3 of the main sections in the area at waist to head high with the very occassional slightly over head freak set. We’ll try and get these new photos on line for ya’s later this afternoon.
By the way the photos we load on baliwaves are edited in LOW RESOLUTION which means low quality so I can get them loaded up for one thing. Feel free to copy them but don’t expect a good quality print, all the original full resolution files are on my computer for the asking.
