10th August 2013
Hello surfers and welcome to the weekend here on the baliwaves.com (bringin you a little peice of Bali since 1999) for the latest news and you know the best views on surfing and weather conditions today. From here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Ok well I’ve spent most of today here at home trying to catch up on all these surf reports and photo galleries that have been finding there way into my inbox. Not too mention trying to keep up with my email.
Our first surf check on the Outer reefs here in Tuban was at 6.45AM to find wave height breaking between Kuta reef and Airport Left in the 2-3ft+ range. The tide was still fairly low at the time so our low tide wave, Middle Reef had the best waves. The wind was coming clean off shore out of the East and there was a few surfers on Middle’s at the time.
But I swapped shoes with Ketut today and loaded him up with the Nikon and the 600mm lens and sent him South to shoot ya’s yest another truck load of new photos. As it show’s in today’s 56 photo strong gallery Uluwatu was today’s main subject again. And with waves like this why wouldn’t we want to. Wave height down at Uluwatu was in the 4-6ft+ range and some serious tube rides on display from our local friends down there.
Ketut also stopped off at Padang Padang beach on the way home to snap a few photos of Impossible’s. As you can see Impossible’s had waves speeding down the line in the 2-4ft+ range by 12.30PM and would have only kept getting better as the tide continued to fall.
Our man over on the East Coast near Gianyar called through around 9.00AM to call in wave height in the 2-4ft class with the wind still holding off for clean and smooth waves. 19 surfers in the water on the main break at the time.
Our G-Land surf report came through at 7.30AM calling in wave height to be hitting the Ledge through to MoneyTree’s in the 3-4ft class. Light off shore wind and 5 surfers in the water at the time. Tommy also sms’d back to me at 3.00PM and these are his words “6-8ft dialing, spitting tubes. Mean as fck. Got some great photos and will send ya some through tonight”
So if anyone is interested in going over to the legendary left hand wave, G-LAND of East Java contact me and baliwaves.com will hook ya’s up with a solid 10% discount.
NB: all photos on baliwaves.com are edited to low resolution / quality as possible for easier viewing. We do have all the original photo files for safe keeping and just drop contact us if you need a full resolution / quality original.
Weather wise today we can chalk up another hot and sunny day for Bali. Our midday temperature easily busting into the low 30’s on the Celsius scale.
Ok crew as soon as I get this one loaded I’ll throw ya’s up another G-land gallery for just a taste. And if I still got time I have the July Body Boarding photo gallery to load up. Hey has anyone stopped to count just how many photos from around Indonesia we actually load on a monthly average ?
Alright if this isn’t enough for ya’s here’s a few internal pages on baliwaves.com for ya’s to check out.
Catch ya’s again tomorrow for our Sunday Session right here on the original Bali surf report website, since 1999.
