BALI
26th August 2013
Hello surfers and thanls again for dropping by the baliwaves.com (non stop since 1999) for the lastest news and hard to beat views on todays surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Well this mornings first surf check on the Outer Reefs (re Twitter) went down at 6.45am to find waves height starting to pick up. With waist to head high waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport left. The tide was low at the time and the wind light out of the NE. No surfers on any of the 3 major sections.
So my crew and I headed south towards Bali’s premier surfing location of Uluwatu to catch the low tide session on the Racetrack section. And hey as it shows there were some sweet tube rides going down. At 7.45am there were only 18 surfers spread over the 150 mtr section and the wind just starting to tidy up turning more to the East. As the tide started to run in around 10.00AM there was now 65 surfers from the Main Peak and down through the Track. We’d had enough by 12.00PM, packing up and leaving the now 100+ surfers spread from Temple’s down through to the top of the Track. Wave height had also kept kreeping up through the day and as we were leaving it was hitting the double to triple over head.
Driving past Impossible’s on the way down to Uluwatu there were also some consistent 2-3 footers bending down along the reef. There was also already a good number of surfers spread through it. Nothing happening on padang Padang at the time.
Our Keramas surf report came through at 9.00AM calling in wave height to be hitting the main break in the chest to well over head range. surfing conditions were still clean and tidy with 38 surfers packed in there.
Today’s G-Land surf report came in at 9.30AM calling in wave height a solid 4-6ft breaking on The Ledge and through Money Tree’s. No wind at the time and no tide, so no surfers in the water either.
So if anyone is interested in going over to the legendary left hand wave, G-LAND of East Java contact me and baliwaves.com will hook ya’s up with a solid 10% discount.
