Hello all you Bali freaks and a big thanks for stopping by your baliwaves (keeping you in the loop with Bali since 1999) for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions from here on the place you’d rather be right now, BALI.
Well we did pretty darn good yesterday as it shows in this 78 strong photo gallery (about 2 magazine’s worth of photos in 1 day). Starting off with the morning mandatory surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban. At 6.20AM there were 1-2ft waves with the very occasional head high set breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport left. With the tide just on the bottom of the Low once again Middle Reef was the only option to surf at, and there were already half a dozen surfers out there for the dawn patrol. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with the wind light out of the NE.
But my guests and I already had our plan in place and we were on the road at 7.00AM and heading East. Arriving to an empty car park at 7.45Am, light off shore wind and a rising tide. There were already 8 surfers on the Main break and that’s where we headed to for our first session. After an hour an a half and an more surfers turning up constantly we shifted to another little right and left hand peak for a session by ourselves. And just to put the cherry on top of the cream we had our third session at another sly right hander sharing the shoulder to over head waves with another 3 surfers. So after 3 great sessions in uncrowded clean 2-4ft waves we were homeward bound with smiles all round.
Weather wise yesterday it was just mostly hot and sunny, exactly what your looking for on vacation, right.
Today the 10th and the morning surf survey of the Outer Reefs was as expected pretty darn small. Between Kuta Reef and Airport Left there was lucky to be the off waist to waist high plus freak set breaking on Middle Reef (the Outers swell magnet). You could find a wave down at Uluwatu but possible sharing waist to head high waves with half of Europe. My call would be to wait for the High tide and slip down to the beach breaks of Legian for some fun in the sun.
The next tide will infact be a 2.2mtr High at 12.30PM.
Weather wise this morning at 10.00AM the outside temperature is heating up and currently on 28 degree’s Celsius, Humidity level on 70%. Wind direction is ENE at 10km’s and the sun will set this evening at 6.16PM.

This mornings G-Land Surf Report came through at 7.45Am calling pretty much the same deal as here in Bali. Wave height pushing the 2-3ft range on Kongs. With a 1-2 footer breaking on the Ledge. No wind present at the time and no surfers yet to enter the water.
