BALI
11th September 2011
Hello surfers and thanks for dropping by the baliwaves.com (the original Bali surf report website since 1999) for today’s news and limited views on surfing and weather conditions from here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Ok so there was no fooling around this morning and no time (or day light) for the usual morning surf check on the Outer reefs here in Tuban. Also because we knew there wasn’t going to be anything special breaking out there between Kuta Reef and Airports the way the swell was rapidly dissapearing. No sir, we were up and on the road heading West on the main artery to Balian. Cause when there’s no waves elsewhere Balian still delivers the goods.
Arriving at 6.45AM to find super clean waves in the waist to over head class and a light off shore wind the boys and I were happy that we hadn’t made the hell drive for nothing. There was only 10 other surfers in thhe water at the time and that made it a little more sweeter. Surfing conditions remained clean and tidy through until my crew had racked up a 3 hour session before the wind started to turn to the West and then right back around to the SE as the Trade wind started to kick in.
Our man on the scene over at Keramas on Bali’s East Coast reported in that wave height at 8.00AM was still showing in the waist to shoulder high region with clean and glassy surfing conditions, 20 surfers in the water on the main break at the time
Tommy from G-Land reported in at 8.00AM calling wave height only just showing on Kongs in the waist to chest high region with no surfers in the ater at the time. But that’s going to be changing real soon with another new swell or two in transit to Indonesia and hopefully starting to show some time in the next 24hr period.
So if anyone is interested in going over to the legendary left hand wave, G-LAND of East Java contact me and baliwaves.com will hook ya’s up with a solid 10% discount.
NB: all photos on baliwaves.com are edited to low resolution / quality as possible for easier viewing. We do have all the original photo files for safe keeping and just drop contact us if you need a full resolution / quality original.
Weather wise here in Bali today the morning started off with a clear blue sky that slowly clouded over and has looked like raining but not raining since around midday. Wind direction has been mostly light and variable through out the day.
