BALI
8th September 2013
Hello surfers and thanks again for calling by the baliwaves.com (keeping the locations changing since 1999) for today’s news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the only sane choice for your next hard earned tropical surfing holiday, BALI.
Alright, so our 6.45AM mandatory surf check on the Outer reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height to be still holding in the 2-3ft+ sector out there between Kuta reef and Airport Left. With the tide just coming off the bottom only Middle Reef was an option and there were quite a few takers out there. Wind direction was already light and clean off shore out of the East.
But we weren’t out there ! Nah we headed South down to the bukit to see what was happening at Balangan. Arriving at 7.30Am to find wave height just starting to improve a little with the in coming tide and a playfull chest to head high. Numbers were also pretty good with only 6 other surfers spread from the point to the end section. And as the tide went past the half way mark there was the off 4-4ft+ high set waves.
This mornings G-Land surf report came through at 8.00AM calling wave height to be in the head to well over head class on Money Tree’s and some bigger ones breaking on Kong’s. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy at the time but no surfers in the water due to the tide factor.
So if anyone is interested in going over to the legendary left hand wave, G-LAND of East Java contact me and baliwaves.com will hook ya’s up with a solid 10% discount.
NB: all photos on baliwaves.com are edited to low resolution / quality as possible for easier viewing. We do have all the original photo files for safe keeping and just drop contact us if you need a full resolution / quality original.
Weather wise it’s been pure Bali holiday weather, hot and sunny with a top midday temperature of 32 degree’s outta the shade. Wind direction has been E-SE and off shore all day.
