We started our day off with a 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs (just down the street from home) of Tuban. Wave height at the time was coming through in the 3-4ft on Kuta Reef and Airport Left, with some double head high waves hitting Middle Reef while the tide was on the bottom of the low. Surfing conditions at the time were clean and smooth with the wind coming lightly out of the SSE.
But as it shows in today’s photo gallery the boys and I headed down to Bali’s premier surfing arena of Uluwatu. We waited around until the tide started to run back in to catch a few tubular waves hitting the Main Peak. Arriving at 10.45Am to find a total of 17 surfers in the water. Surfing conditions were not the best with the wind coming out of the S-SSE and cross / off shore. Today’s gallery was shot with my 1000mm fixed focal lens and a brand new 24.1mp Nikon D7100.
While over on the East side of town our man at Keramas reported in at 11.00AM calling wave height to be in the 3-4ft range with 25 surfers out on the main break. Surfing conditions at that time were supposedly still clean and smooth.
Weather wise today it’s been a mostly hot and sunny day here on the holiday island. Currently right now at 4.50PM the outside temperature is still a nice 29 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is on 62%. Wind direction is South at 12knot and the sun will set at 6.14PM.
