Hello surfers and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com (working through the weekends since 1999) for our Sunday Session on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the smart place to spend on your next tropical surfing holiday, Bali.
Well this mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height in the solid 4-5ft+ sector between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Unfortunately the wind was light on shore out of the South for the best part of the day. At the time Middle Reef had to be the best bet for a paddle (for the more experienced surfer) with some solid peaks peeling off while the tide was running out. Kuta Reef also had waves and a plethera of surfers to go with them, but not really, or even coming close to doing it’s thing.
As it shows it today’s photo gallery (Nikon D300 x 600mm f4 Nikor lens) I had Ketut up early and on the road over to Keramas to see what the deal was. I would have been there myself only my guests had a little too much to drink last night and couldn’t be woke up… hahaha, so I scored a day off. And hey as it show’s in these photos it was looking good over there, and great to see some of the local surfers claiming it back.
But it was just before midday that the wind did the switcheroo and swung back to the ESE and kicked into Trade wind strength and good ole off shore wind here on Bali’s West side. So it would have been cranking at most locations from Kuta Reef all the way down to Uluwatu by late afternoon. So hopefully tomorrow we’ll be back up to our eye balls in waves again, and you know we’ll be out there amoungst it. So stay tuned right here to Bali’s original surf report website.
Weather wise it was a mostly hot and sunny one today here on the holiday island. With a whole lot of cloud moving in this evening and the chance of some highly possible rain later this evening / night.
