BALI
30th September 2013
Howdy folks and welcome back to your baliwaves.com (leading the way since 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s most popular tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
And a popular little island she is and who can blame anyone for wanting to come to Bali and have some fun in the sun, not me that’s for damn sure.
Anyway this mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban wasn’t looking too bad at all with some clean fun sized 2-4 footers breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport left. At the time the wind was only just showing and surfing conditions clean and glassy. There was also plenty of surfers making their way out there at 7.30AM.
But like it shows in today’s photo gallery (Nikon D7100 x 1000mm f8 lens) we were down at Bali’s No.1 surfing ;location of Uluwatu. Arriving around 9.45Am and a falling tide to find wave height coming through in the 3-5ft class from the Main Peak and down through the low tide Racetrack section. It was also pretty surprising to only find around 35 surfers spread through the whole line up. Surfing conditions on arrival were perfect thanks to a clean and straight off shore Easterly wind. But within the hour she was swinging to the SSE and a little more cross shore on the Peak. While the Track was still belting out clean tube rides.
Today’s East Coast surf report from our man on the scene at Keramas was calling wave height hitting the main break in the 2-3ft range with 26 surfers on it by 7.30AM. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy and some fun little waves peeling off.
Weather wise it’s been just another hot and mostly sunny day here on the holiday island, you really can’t go wrong here in Bali if you like it hot and sunny.
Monumental News Department. Ok as we’ve said all along, the baliwaves.com Impossoble’s WEB CAM is back on line and ready for you to check out some lines. Remember the low tide produces the best waves out there, and the sun sets around 6.15AM each day.
I also have some new reports from our friends at Joyo’s G-Land Surf Camp and up North from the crew at the Kandui Surf Resort in the Mentawai Islands, I reckon first thing tomorrow morning for those babies ok.
