3rd October 2013
Hi folks and thanks for calling by the baliwaves.com (keeping you in touch with Bali since 1999) for today’s run down on surfing and weather conditions from here on the tropical surfing holiday island that’s got something for everyone, Bali.
Our early surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban this morning was showing smallish waves in the 1-2ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport left. Light and variable wind and the tide was still running in. So with that info under our belts we decided to take a run up the West coast to Canggu to see waht was going down. And as it shows in today’s photo gallery I snapped off there were some fun sized waves in the 2-3ft range with odd bigger freak set and the tide pushed in. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy when we first pulled up around 7.30AM with some thing like 40 surfers spread over the 3 main surfing breaks in the area. The best ones were breaking on the left hand sand bar and the right hand river mouth. It was around 10.00AM that the wind shifted more to the South and stated to crank it up so we called time and headed back to Home Base for breakfast.
I also took a look at our Impossible’s WEB CAM just before dark this evening and it looked like there were a few small lines breaking for the crew down there. I can’t wait to see it with our new swell that’s coming in this weekend. Just add this link to your list of favorites. https://www.baliwaves.com/surfcams/impossibles/
Weather wise out there today it was a fair bit of cloud hovering around with more sunny periods towards the later part of the morning.
