Hi folks and welcome to the weekend here on the baliwaves.com (keeping you in the loop since 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the place you’d rather be, BALI.

With our 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban showing wave height in the 1-2ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport left. The tide was on the run in at the time and wind direction was light on shore out of the Western quadrant.

Seeing as though the East Coast was the place to be yesterday, that’s where we bee lined for again today. Arriving at Keramas around 7.30AM to find wave height hitting the main break in the 2-3ft range with the off bigger freak sets. At the time surfing conditions were clean and glassy and around 24 surfers in the water. There was also another 6 surfing out the front of Ngurah’s and incredibly another 10 or so surfing down at KFC. Surfing conditions stayed clean and tidy until 9.00AM when the wind started to pick up out of the South.

Weather wise it was a mainly hot and sunny day here on the holiday island and that black sand over at Keramas must have been 40 degree’s Celsius by late morning.

Ok that’s me for today, but we’ll be back out there on the free surf trial again tomorrow and I’ll also have Ketut checking out if there’s any action happening at the Grom Search finals up along the beach breaks on Kuta. Oh yeah it’s been a little hectic over here in Bali the last few days with the APEC meetings going down in Bali. Road closure’s, Airport delays, constant low flying helicopters and jets. And I also hear all water activities around Bali will be not happening on the 8th & 9th, all for our World leaders. Not long to go anyway and everything should be back to normal here in Bali.
